Oh my goodness Monica Murphy has done it again. I totally fell in love
with her One Week Girlfriend series and was so stoked for her new one. It
totally didn’t disappoint.
Rose is the youngest of the Fowler sisters and she feels lost. She is
not sure that she wants to be a part of the Fowler cosmetics company anymore.
Her family is driving her nuts and she just wants out. She meets a mysterious
stranger that sets her world afire.
Caden has had a rough life, going through something no child should
ever have had to. His life turned to crime because of the circumstances. He
never felt comfortable about what he did but he was really such a good guy. And
mega hot. He was a total sweet talker and so swoony.
The plot device that Monica uses is actually one of my favorites ever.
I won’t spoil it at all because it was totally amazing. Her writing is
addicting as always. And let me tell you, this is the steamiest read of hers
yet. I was fanning myself the whole time! If you haven’t read a Monica Murphy
book yet, seriously get on that. :)
I can’t wait to read the wild Fowler sister, Lily’s, book. The synopsis
sounds promising, as always!
Favorite Swoon-worthy Quote: The scent of
him – citrusy and clean – washes over me and I part my lips, the protest dying
when he reaches out and touches my cheek. His touch is gentle, his fingertips
rough as they slide across my skin, into my hair. My eyelids waver and my
vision grows fuzzy when he presses his body to mine and dips his head, his mouth
hovering above mine.
