I should just expect that a Colleen Hoover book will end with me in tears, cursing Colleen. I mean it happens with all of her books that I have read. They are immensely powerful and beautifully written.

Fallon – loved her. She was so strong and I loved how she did what she needed to do instead of leaning on a guy to fix her problems, like so many heroines these day do. She was shy at first but I liked that she eventually spread her wings and was more comfortable around people.

Ben. Ben, Ben, Ben. Benton James freakin’ Kessler. Loved him too. He was so damn cute at the beginning, being only 18 years old. He’s an aspiring writer and so cute and so funny. He had only the best of intentions regarding Fallon and I really understood him.

I just knew tragic things were going to happen and I couldn’t stop it. I assumed the crash landing position, not exactly knowing what was going to happen, but I just knew something would. I mean, it’s Colleen Hoover. Of course something would happen.

I liked how the book progresses, Ben and Fallon meeting only one day a year, on November 9th. It was definitely something special, something that only Colleen can pull off, something like she does in her other books to. Always something special.

I can’t wait to figure out the synopsis of Colleen’s next book. Maybe this one won’t end with me in a puddle of tears. But not likely.
